Burrow Budgie

Terms of Service

Effective July 12, 2026 · Burrow Budgie family pilot

The deal, in plain language

Burrow Budgie helps families plan dinners together: kids vote, parents veto and schedule, and the winning meals become a priced shopping list you can send to a Kroger cart. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. Burrow Budgie is currently a free pilot — things will change, occasionally break, and improve quickly.

Accounts

Accounts are for adults responsible for their household. Children participate only through profiles inside your session and never get accounts of their own. You're responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your email secure, since sign-in links go there.

Prices are estimates

Prices in Burrow Budgie come from the Kroger public API and from prices families log by hand. They can be stale, regional, or wrong, and the budget bar is a planning picture — not a quote, invoice, or guarantee. The price you pay at a store is always whatever the store actually charges.

No money moves

Burrow Budgie never holds, transfers, or collects money and stores no payment methods. Checkout, payment, and order fulfillment happen entirely in Kroger's own app or site under Kroger's terms.

Your Kroger account

Linking Kroger is optional. It uses Kroger's own sign-in and permission screen, and Burrow Budgie only ever adds the items you choose to your cart — it cannot read your cart, orders, or payment details. Your relationship with Kroger, including their handling of your data, is governed by Kroger's own terms and privacy policy. Burrow Budgie is an independent app, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Kroger Co.

Fair use

Don't misuse the app: no attempting to access other families' data, no deliberately polluting the shared price book, no reverse-engineering the service to harvest data, and nothing unlawful.

The pilot disclaimer

Burrow Budgie is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Burrow Budgie and its builder aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages from using the app — and given that the app is free, total liability for anything else is capped at $0. If something goes wrong, tell us and we'll do our best to fix it.

Ending things

You can stop using Burrow Budgie anytime and ask for your data to be deleted (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend accounts that break these terms or end the pilot with notice to parents by email.

Changes and contact

If these terms change materially during the pilot, parents get an email first. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA. Questions: 0xausty@proton.me.
